Resurrection. Rebirth. Renewal.

This is a marvelous time of year marking a new season with much to celebrate.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this week occurs when it does. Coming out of a long winter, where days were short and nights were long.

Nature bursts back to life. Birds chirping, tress and flowers blooming. The emergence of Hope, Rebirth and Renewal.

So many sights, sounds, and reasons to make sure you stop, listen, and take it all in.

Heck, I don’t even like golf, but when it’s the final round of the Masters Tournament, I’ll turn the tv on and check in every now and again just to see the pristine beauty of the scenery.

I get outside more. Feel the suns warmth on my face. Slow things down a bit. Remove myself from worldly chatter. Just hang with my wife and boys. Playing games, having quality conversations with no distractions.

Not always easy to do, but this week helps me be more intentional.

Taking many deep breaths. Concentrating my thoughts and emotions on Gratitude…

Gratitude for God who has provided countless blessings. For Jesus who walked this earth and endured great pain and suffering. All to deliver us from sin and separation from God. 

His sacrifice, crucification, death, and resurrection – the defeat of death.

WOW…It takes my breath away every time I think about what Jesus did for you and me. And what it means today and forever…

The GIFT of Eternal Life in heaven.

Wherever this week takes you and whoever you are surrounded by, I hope you choose to be present – fully present.

This Easter weekend, if you are fortunate to be with family and friends, be sure to let them know what they mean to you. These opportunities to come together and connect over holiday celebrations have become even more important in recent years.
