Being Kind requires empathy and a heart for others.
To take action requires awareness. To see, feel and know what is happening around you while noticing the people that are in your world too. Having vision to SEE the good, the heart to BE the good, and a caring focus to DO the good.
Being doers is a personal responsibility every healthy and able person should embrace and value. When you see something or someone that needs help or a positive boost, don’t see it and say, “oh, that stinks. I hope someone does something about it.”
Instead, choose to be the person that takes action and actually does something about it.
Don’t get me wrong, we’ve all done this, including myself. And I’m not saying you can or should be able to act every time. But, if we are being honest, I’m sure we could all choose to do something more often than we probably do.
The action does not have to be HUGE either. More often than not, it’s a simple act of kindness, acknowledging the person, letting them know you see them and they are important.
Taking 5 minutes to enter into a conversation with someone, because they are there. In your path, on the way to where you are going.
Volunteering an hour of your time to a youth group to speak life into children, share your experiences, lessons learned, and build them up reminding them how special they are.
Inviting a person or family over to your home for dinner during the holidays that has recently lost a loved one.
Again, your action does not have to cost money or require something of you that you don’t already have.
We are called by God to care and look after one another. We are to Shine as Lights in the world.
WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING KIND FOR SOMEONE ELSE - EVERYBODY WINS!!!
Remember, You are wonderfully made,
Brock & Mike
PS. You’ll be more memorable for your acts of Kindness than most anything else you will ever do.

Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) These words from John the Baptist point directly to the heart of Easter—the sacrifice of Jesus, the Lamb, who bore our sin. Let’s take a moment to reflect on what that really means and why it's a story worth knowing and sharing again and again.

This weekend I met Kamryn Babb. His story of shattered dreams and unshakable faith reminded me—and now I hope you—that who we are is not found in what we do… but in Who we belong to.
