Give Them Hope
Hey friends,
Have you noticed something lately?
People are tired.
Not just physically tired.
Emotionally tired.
Tired of negativity.
Tired of division.
Tired of feeling like the future looks uncertain.
And the truth is, many people walk through their day carrying quiet burdens no one else can see.
Which is why something simple can have an extraordinary impact.
HOPE.
As we continue our March series on Be A Person Worth Following, I want to share a principle that changed the way I think about every conversation and every interaction.
People want a bright future.
So give them hope.
Just recently, I was standing in line at a coffee shop one morning.
The person behind the counter looked exhausted.
You could tell it had already been a long day.
When she handed me my coffee, I paused for just a second and said something simple.
“Hey, I hope you have a great day today. I really appreciate you.”
Her expression changed instantly.
She smiled and said something I’ll never forget.
“You have no idea how much I needed to hear that today.”
It wasn’t a grand gesture.
It wasn’t some long speech.
It was just a small moment of encouragement.
But it reminded me of something powerful:
People are hungry for hope.
And a wonderful acronym for the word H.O.P.E. is Helping Other People Elevate.
May that stick with you as it has with me for over 20 years.
Because Hope Is a Leadership Skill
Think about the people you admire most.
The ones you trust.
The ones you follow.
They all share one common trait.
They bring light into the room.
They don’t ignore problems.
They just refuse to let negativity define the future.
They speak possibility.
They encourage others.
They help people see what could be, not just what is.
And that kind of presence is powerful.
Because when someone believes in your future, something inside you begins to change.
When Jesus encountered people who were discouraged, broken, or overlooked…
He didn’t just point out their struggles.
He reminded them of their worth.
He spoke life into their future.
And in doing so, He gave people something they desperately needed:
You guessed it…Hope.
So, who in your life might need a little hope right now?
What if one encouraging sentence from you could change their entire day?
Maybe even their week.
As you go through your day, look for moments to speak life into others.
Tell someone you believe in them.
Encourage someone who feels stuck.
Remind someone that better days are ahead.
Because hope is contagious.
And when people encounter someone who consistently brings hope…
they naturally want to follow them.
That’s the kind of person who makes a difference.
That’s the kind of person worth following.
And it often begins with something very simple.
A few positive words spoken at just the right moment.

P.S. Speaking of hope… Easter is the greatest reminder that light always wins.
And around here, we believe celebrating that hope should be just as joyful as the message behind it.
So we’ve created a few limited-time Easter treats to help you share sweetness with the people you love.
