USE YOUR MOMENTS
Today is the past someone in the future is dreaming they could return to.
Sit with that for a second.
Because it’s not just poetic. It’s piercing—and it’s personal.
The school season is back in full swing, and as a dad watching my two boys enter 10th and 7th grade, I’m freshly reminded of two guarantees in life:
👉 Time moves fast.
👉 Now is a gift.
I don’t know who needs to hear this—but it’s time to Use Your Moments.
We often think life happens in the “someday” moments.
Someday I’ll slow down.
Someday I’ll take that leap.
Someday I’ll have more time...
But here’s the truth: “Someday” doesn’t exist. Only NOW does.
If you’re going to get better—it's now.
If you're going to forgive—it's now.
If you're going to be present for your family—it’s now.
If you’re going to laugh, love, grow, serve—it’s all NOW.
It’s not what was.
It’s not what’s next.
It’s what’s now.
🎒 School Is Starting—But We’re All Still Learning
Watching our kids pack their backpacks and sharpen their pencils for a new year is a powerful reminder for the rest of us:
We are still in school too.
The subject? Time Management 101: The Eternal Kind.
The lesson? Use your time while you have it.
The pop quiz? Are you present right now—or just passing through?
Because I’ve seen what happens when we miss the moment.
But I’ve also learned the joy of rediscovering the miracle of a regular Tuesday when you finally pay attention.
🙏 “This Is the Day the Lord Has Made”
Psalm 118:24 reminds us, “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Not yesterday.
Not tomorrow.
This. Day.
Today, we are breathing. Loving. Living.
And that, my friends, is sacred ground.
So what would happen if you treated this moment as holy?
What would change if you stopped saving your best for later, and just gave it now?
Let’s find out.
What’s one small way you can Use This Moment today?
Text a friend. Hug your child a little longer. Forgive someone. Start the thing. Laugh out loud. Slow down.
Whatever it is, don’t wait.
Let’s make today the day we lived on purpose.
Because “now” is the only time we’ll ever have to live like it.
With all my heart,
Brock
P.S. Tomorrow’s not promised. But today is delivered straight to your door—no return policy. So unwrap it, savor it, share it. And if that moment includes a little Dulci chocolate… well, now you’re really living sweet. 🍫😉
