Hello friends,

We’ve stepped into a brand-new year.

Fresh goals. Fresh calendars. Fresh chocolate flavors. 😉
And maybe even a fresh sense of hope.

But here’s something I’ve learned the hard way (maybe you have too):

Your plans may change. But your posture? That can carry you.

Last week, we talked about Pray or Praise—and how James 5:13 offers us two postures for any season:

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray.
Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.”

So simple.
So steady.
So… powerful.

Because while the world obsesses over setting goals, James gives us a better place to start:

Not with what you’ll do this year—
But how you’ll carry your heart through it.

What Is Posture, Really?

I’m not talking about how straight you sit at your desk.
I’m talking about the way your soul stands up inside you.

👉 Posture is the position you hold when things don’t go as planned.
👉 Posture is how you walk through disappointment, victory, waiting, or celebration.
👉 Posture is how you face your relationships, your work, your purpose… and your God.

And here's the truth:

Plans may inspire progress. But posture fuels perseverance.

The Posture That Makes You Unshakable

When you pray through pain and praise through blessing, you stop being reactive—and start becoming resilient.

That kind of posture leads to peace.
Not because your circumstances change…
But because you do.

So this year, instead of chasing perfection—
What if you pursued posture?

Instead of performance—
What if you chose presence?

Instead of control—
What if you walked in constant surrender?

How to Build a Posture for 2026 (Yes, You Can)

Here are 3 postures to live from this year—simple, practical, and powerful:

🧎♀️ 1. Prayer First

Make prayer your first instinct, not your last resort.
Morning coffee? Pray.
Hard conversation? Pray.
Answered prayer? Praise and pray again.

✨ 2. Praise Anyway

Don’t wait until everything is perfect to celebrate.
Praise in the middle of the mess.
Praise when the door is still closed.
Praise because He is still good.

This one’s big.
Refuse to measure this year by hustle.
Choose connection.
Breathe slower. Hug longer. Listen better. Laugh deeper.

He can work with tired. He can work with anxious. He can work with hopeful.

But He can do the most when we come openhanded—with a posture that says, “Here I am, Lord. Shape me.”
