Mom's Magic
Mother's Day is more than just a date on the calendar. It's a moment to honor the incredible women who shape our lives. A mother's love is powerful—so powerful that it can change the course of our day with just one word.
For me, Mother's Day is a reminder of the unconditional love that exists in the world. It's the kind of love that holds you when you're falling apart, that believes in you when you doubt yourself, and that guides you back to your center when you've lost your way. Proverbs 31:25 describes it perfectly: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Isn't that the essence of a mother's love? The strength to face anything, and the grace to do it with a smile.
During my high school years I specifically remember a couple painful moments when I had experienced significant setbacks. Each time I felt defeated and unsure what came next. My mom knew I was hurting, but didn't ask a lot of questions; instead, she wrapped me in a hug and said, "It's okay to feel this way. But remember, you're stronger than you think, and this won't last forever." She would stay by my side talking about everything and nothing at all. Within a hour or two, I felt like I could take on the world again and overcome the pain of the moment.
That's the beauty of a mother's love—it has the power to heal. When everything seems dark and hopeless, a mother's words can light the way. They give us the strength to keep going, even when we want to quit. It's a love that transcends time and space, bringing us back to our center. And isn't it amazing how they seem to know exactly what we need, without us saying a word?
My mom always made me believe that I could accomplish anything. She never doubted my abilities, even when I did. There were times when I was ready to throw in the towel, but she knew better. She pushed me to keep going, to never give up, and to always believe in myself. It's because of her that I am who I am today. And isn't that what every mother does? They lift us up, even when we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
So, on this Mother's Day, let's take a moment to thank the moms in our lives. Let's celebrate the love they give so freely, the sacrifices they make without hesitation, and the strength they show in every situation. They are the heart and soul of our families, the glue that holds us together. Without them, we wouldn't be where we are today.
If you're lucky enough to have a mom like mine, someone who has always believed in you, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Let's cherish these moments and hold onto them tightly. Because a mother's love is not just for a day—it's forever.
So, what's one thing your amazing mom made you believe about yourself? For me, it was inspiring belief. And I can tell you, it's a gift that lasts a lifetime.
Happy Mother's Day to all the incredible moms out there. That includes my absolutely Incredible, Beautiful, and Amazing wife/MOM to our boys. You are the unsung heroes, the silent warriors, and the hearts of our homes. Thank you for everything you do. We love you more than words can say.
Celebrating Mom’s Everywhere,
Brock
P.S. This Mother's Day, don't forget to make her feel as sweet and beautiful as she truly is. Give her gifts that allow her to indulge a bit, and show her just how much she's cherished.
