The entire month of February is a celebration of the heart; love, kindness, gentleness, and joy.
Filled with thoughts and moments that we hope lift your heart and remind you just how important your relationships, friends, family, and community are in your life.
While today is a day that receives much attention, Friday is another fun and important day as well – RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS DAY!
It’s a day rooted in the “pay it forward” initiative. Encouraging us to stop in the typical rush of the day, observe our environment, really notice those around you. See an opportunity to say and/or do something nice for someone else; no matter a stranger or friend.
The whole idea and reason is to make the world a little better place by spreading a little light and making kindness a part of our everyday lives.
If your heart and eyes are open, you’ll see opportunities everywhere.
Throughout your day Friday, and any day, decide to be intentional in your observations and complete random acts of kindness.
When you see someone, greet them with a smile. Even strangers you’re simply walking past.
When buying your morning cup of coffee, buy one for the person next in line.
Just be present and listen to each other.
Run errands for busy family members.
Leave a positive comment on blogs and channels.
Leave a large tip for a struggling waiter.
Email an under-appreciated co-worker.
Mail out a thank you letter.
Donate clothes to shelters in your city.
Send an encouraging text message.
